Properties holding a Civil Wedding Licence
Properties at which the marriage ceremony itself can take place are listed in regional order. These properties hold a Civil Wedding Licence and many of them will also be able to provide wedding receptions.
There are numerous other properties included within Hudson's which do not have a Civil Wedding Licence but which can accommodate wedding receptions.
In Scotland religious wedding ceremonies can take place anywhere subject to the Minister being prepared to perform them.
In Northern Ireland, since 1st January 2004, as a result of a change in the law Civil weddings can take place in approved venues as well as registry offices. The properties listed for Northern Ireland are able to accommodate religious weddings, this being determined by the priest on the basis of wherever he is prepared to conduct the marriage.
